The Workshops catered for
the specific discussions on the above disciplines.
The Annual General Meeting
carried voting of Jim Tuckerman as President of Motorcycling New Zealand for a
consecutive 2 year term.
Presentations were awarded
to Club of the Year: North Harbour Mini Motocross with special emphasis on the
role the club played in hosting a display at Big Boys Toys in Auckland 2012.
President Mike Fletcher
comments: "To receive the award was a total shock. As President of the
Club for the past 4 years, I have worked hard alongside a dedicated committee
to raise the profile of Mini Motocross in NZ and to receive recognition from
MNZ for our efforts is truly the icing on the cake."
The Innovation and
Technology award went to Pukekohe Motorcycle club for their efforts in hosting
Round 3 of NZ Motocross Championship Series 2013.
President Stu McCulloch
accepted the award, congratulating the club for a team effort in putting
together an awesome event. Stu states: "I was totally surprised as a club
we don’t have any expectations of receiving recognition for hosting a NZ MX
Championship Round. It is a great thing, that MNZ think of what the Clubs put
in to help advance the sport."
Overall, a very productive
and positive MNZ Annual General Meeting whereby many people involved in
motorcycling had the opportunity to come together and talk about a sport we are
all passionate about.
