Wednesday #2

First it was Jeff Ward Racing, then earlier last week the Australian-owned JDR Motorsports Californian-based AMA team will close its doors in May in the United States. Now it's L&Mc Racing (stands for Larry Brooks and Jeremy McGrath) that has pulled the plug on the 2013 Supercross/Motocross season. The L&Mc Racing team, which made its debut last year with rider Andrew Short, has officially announced that it is pulling out of racing effective immediately.  I'm told from California that there is a manufacturer next?

Watching the Dirt Shark video of Anaheim 2 is all about the Monster Girls.

Reminded me of the 2011 MXoN in France.  I had an invite to go and photograph the Monster Girls in the Spa Pool …. and unbelievably I forgot to go !!!!  I was sent this as a reminder of my stupidity!!

MotoGP returnee Hiroshi Aoyama has sustained a fractured wrist in a motocross accident. The 31-year-old Japanese rider fell while training on a motocross bike at a Barcelona track last Friday. Aoyama will not require surgery and has been ordered to rest prior to the first MotoGP test of 2013 at Sepang on February 5-7, which he is expected to be fit for. The 2009 250cc world champion switched to World Superbikes last year after losing his Gresini Honda MotoGP seat at the end of 2011. But he made his comeback to stand in for the injured Yonny Hernandez on Avintia's CRT bike at the Valencia season finale, and also secured a 2013 seat with the squad.

After my update yesterday Lynda Blair advises that the test days at Phillip Island are actually on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th February.  Great news from Lynda is SKY Sport will be screening Phillip Island on Sky Sport 1 from 1.45pm on Sunday 24th Feb.  SKY suggested keeping an eye on the online programming guide.

Yamaha motocross legend Doug Henry returned to the ESPN X-Games Aspen Snocross event and won his fifth X-Games medal. Doug already has a SuperMoto gold from 2005, and a bronze from 2006. Four years later, Henry returned to race Snocross Adaptive, earning a bronze in 2010 and gold in 2011 in the paraplegic class.

Snocross Adaptive rules allow riders to modify their sleds to adapt to their particular physical abilities, with separate classes for amputees and paraplegics, who are racers with a spinal injury resulting in lower body paralysis.

Red Bull KTM's Ken Roczen now leads the 250SX Class Championship by 15 points.  Nobody more excited than www.foxhead.com/us/#/moto based in Irvine, California, who have been ‘hanging out’ for Ken to top the podium.

If you follow the Australian Off-Road then you have to read Andy Wigan’s update in Transmoto Magazine - plenty on what's happening in Australia.

Is Husqvarna being sold by BMW - to KTM?  Chris Birch put this up on Twitter.

BMW bought Husqvarna from MV Agusta back in 2008.

Best of Twitter.
