Reed looks for improvement on return to Anaheim
Saturday 19 January: Chad Reed and his TwoTwo Motorsports team return to Anaheim’s Angel Stadium this weekend hopeful of making inroads and a return to the Monster Energy Supercross podium.

With hallmark consistency, the Australian rider has recorded two fourth
place finishes to start the season, but is searching for more as the
team chases a setup more suitable for the frenetic pace of the racing so
 far.
Last weekend’s round at Phoenix marked Reed’s 150th
Supercross start, a statistic only surpassed by six other riders in the
history of the sport.
He hopes his solid record in Anaheim,
including 7 wins and his AMA career first, will buoy him to a better
finishing position on Saturday night.
"It’s early on in the season and we haven’t quite settled on a setup that is working yet,” said Reed.
"The
team is working hard to find a balance, especially with the fork
settings, and we made some pretty good progress at the test track this
week which is encouraging.
"I can’t be too disappointed with the points I’ve collected so far but I really want to be more competitive than this.
"I’m
confident at the start and able to put myself in a pretty good
position, but haven’t found that rhythm over the race distance which is
going to be important.
"It will be good to verify a few things at A2 and see if we have made the improvements we need to move forward.”
Reed’s
two fourth place finishes see him sitting in fourth outright on 36
points, just 2 points shy of third and only 9 total points off the lead
of the 450 class.
The 2013 Monster Energy Supercross Championship
comprises 17 rounds across North America’s West and East Coasts,
concluding in early May.
