NZ Motocross Champs just 3 weeks away The Backflips Motocross track is currently undergoing major modifications and grooming in readiness for the biggest event of 2013. So mark off Sunday the 10th of February 2013 on your calendars grab all your mates and head on out to Pleasant Point for a day of the most exciting racing you will see anywhere. This year we have a real treat with a number of International
riders heading down under to battle the absolute best of New Zeralands
MX talent for the title.
We have it on very good authority that Billy McKenzie (World
Championship rider from Scotland) who is riding for CDR Yamaha in
Australia this year, has been enticed across the ditch by none other
than Josh Coppins and the JCR Racing team to put on a show. In addition
Team KTM from Australia are sending across Todd Waters and Kirk Gibbs.

Monster Energy MX Champsionships and is being hailed as the next Chad
Read. Kirk Gibbs is a very talented up and coming rider who was riunner
up in the Australian Pro-Lites for 2009 and 2010 and has just made the
move up to the 450 ranks.
Rest assured this year the competition will be tougher and as always the "Trans-Tasman" rivalry will be worth a watch.
For all of you Club level riders we are again running the MX 3
class, which is a class designed to give club levels riders the
opportunity to ride at a National event without the fear of banging bars
with the best that NZ and Australia have on offer. In the past this has
been treated a little as a 'non Qualifiers' class, but it is a
separate class with separate honours for the rider with the most points
at each event.
The MX3 class is for you.....that's right, this is a great
opportunity to ride one of the best MX tracks in the country in full
race prep.......watered, ripped and groomed. Don't sit back and say,
maybe next year.......this is the year!! Get your mates together and
make a weekend of it or enter on your own for a huge day of riding.

Please Note : The main Backflips Motocross Track is now CLOSED to all riders for grooming and maintenance.
However the Club Track is still open and it has just been ripped,
groomed and mother nature has delivered a burst of rain so riding
conditions for those of you wanting to train should be great.
We have a heap of posters available so if any of
you would like some to put up around your business or place of work,
please let me know.
