His comeback was supposed to be in the
beginning of the 2012 season, but there were some complications in his
recovery, which prevented him to be on his bike when they had planned.
The
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Max Nagl took part in the fifth round of
the ADAC MX Masters this weekend to start getting ready for his comeback
to the FIM Motocross World Championship and he went out with the
overall victory. It was not an easy race for the German rider, but Nagl
had really good starts, a good rhythm on his KTM and he was able to keep
the lead until the end of the heats even having his compatriot Marcus
Schiffer making pressure from behind.
At the end of the day Max Nagl said: "I did not expect to win this
weekend, I thought I would have been really tired by the end of the
race, but I had good starts and I could slow down a little bit the
rhythm towards the end in order to control the heats. I am really happy
for this comeback to the races. It has been fantastic, but it has not
been easy due to the rain and mud. I am now tired and I have a headache,
but I’m happy!”
