Faenza will host the penultimate GP of the season

Faenza, located in the Romagna region of Italy, is one of the most international tracks in the country, having hosted the FIM Motocross World Championship on numerous occasions in the past.

The last time Faenza hosted the FIM Motocross World Championship was back in 2009 and it was actually the opening round of the season. Estonian Tanel Leok obtained the overall MX1 victory on a Yamaha, while Ken De Dycker on the Suzuki was second and Desalle completed the podium on his Honda machine. Antonio Cairoli, who obtained his maiden MX1 title in 2009, was only fifth in Faenza.

In the MX2 class it was a young Gautier Paulin on a Kawasaki who was on the first step of the rostrum, Jeremy Van Horebeek was second on a KTM and Marvin Musquin completed the top three on his Honda.
