Enduro factory rider Taddy Blazusiak on Saturday swept to yet another
Extreme
Enduro victory to thrill his Polish fans in his first-ever ride
in from of his home crown when he took all three races in the second
round of the newly branded FIM SuperEnduro Championship.
Talented young Briton Johnny Walker (KTM) was second while Husaberg rider Joakim Ljunggren of Sweden finished third.
Winning
the last event of the 2011 calendar wraps up what has been a sensation
year for Taddy. In February he won the 2010 -2011 Indoor Enduro World
Championship and went on to take his fifth Red Bull Hare Scramble at the
notorious Erzberg Rodeo in the summer before departing for the USA
competitions.
In August he became the first ever gold medalist in
Extreme Enduro at the X-Games, then took every round of the USA
EnduroCross competition, before returning to Europe in November to
secure the opening round of the FIM SuperEnduro in Genoa. Rounds in
SuperEnduro continue in early 2012.
Taddy, long considered the
man to beat over the on the tricky indoor Enduro obstacle courses has
shown that he is a master of the track and of the KTM 350 EXC bike that
has brought him so much success in 2011.
It was particularly thrilling
for him to take the victory in Lodz, the first time he has had the
opportunity to show Polish fans his skills on the track. Around 11,000
were on hand in the
Atlas Arena to support Taddy at the event as he
again won all three of his races to dominate the second round.
Behind
him the battle for second place was fierce between KTM-supported rider
Johnny Walker, Ljunggren and Ivan Cervantes but it was Walker that
prevailed to be second on the podium, proving that this is an emerging
talent that is definitely a rider to watch.
SuperEnduro now returns to the track in early February for the next round in Barcelona, Spain.
