Update on Kayne Lamont

Tuesday 13 May: It's Round 4 at Murray Bridge in South Australia (Adelaide) this weekend and Kayne holds 2 place overall.

Sharon Cox advises that Sky Sport 3's CRC Speedshow will feature Kayne Lamont this Thursday (15 May) at 7.30pm.

Sharon organised CRC Speedshow Producer, Chris Herd, to interview Kayne at home in Mangakino and spent another two hours filming 'bike time' at the nearby Mangakino MX track.

Sky's CRC Speedshow reviews and previews Motorsport up and down the country and is hosted by Greg Murphy and Steve McIvor.

Meanwhile the 2014 MX2 Champion has been selected for CRC Speedshow Kiwi Young Guns under 23 years Motorsport athlete category. The popular event will be held at ASB Showgrounds July 19th- 20th.

Kayne will be among NZ’s top 20 rising and established motorsport stars including GP2 racer Mitch Evans from Auckland and Christchurch born V8 Supercar racer Scott McLaughlin.

The Kiwi Young Guns category evolved from the extremely popular NZ Legends of Speed display at the 2013 show. CRC Speedshow director states "‘this year’s display of rising race stars will allow CRC Speedshow visitors to meet 20 future Kiwi legends of speed’”.

Kayne is notably excited on the selection stating: "It was an honor to be one of the selected few to be voted by the public to represent Kiwi Young Guns of Motorsport at the CRC Speedshow."

"I never really thought I had a chance as motocross isn’t one of the most popular Motorsports in NZ" says Kayne.

The selection for Kiwi Young Guns was decided by CRC Speedshow fans via polls on Facebook.
