Despite the gloomy conditions of yesterday,
the sun was out to play here today in Uddevalla, Sweden for round ten of
the FIM Motocross World Championship where the Redbull KTM Factory
Racing duo Antonio Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings were victorious.
Back
with vengeance this year was the current MX1 world champion Antonio
Cairoli. After having a disastrous GP here last year Cairoli turned his
luck around winning both races to take home his sixth overall victory of
the season. Standing on the second step on the podium was Ken De Dycker
with his fourth and second place results ahead of Clement Desalle in
third with his third and fourth place results.
In the MX2 Jeffrey Herlings continues to reign supreme taking home his
tenth consecutive overall victory. Despite only coming back to third in
race one after crashing on lap one, the flying Dutchman made a strong
return in race two to take his eighteenth race victory of the season.
After putting in the ride of his life to take the win in race one
Christophe Charlier backed up his first race result with a third in race
two for second overall. Finishing third was Jordi Tixier with a fourth
place in race one and a second place in race two.
