Top New Zealand Motocross riders in Taupo this weekend.

Taupo riders expected to be up the front include Cam Dillon, Nick Saunders and Brad Groombridge (now lives in Hawera) who won last year’s feature race. Brad is fresh from his international experience at this year’s Motocross of Nations where he competed with Ben Townley and Josh Coppins as part of NZ team and will be showing his new form.

Saturday 23 October will see the North Island Mini Nationals, Women and Juniors riders compete at the world class Digger McEwen track. The track will be prepped to its highest standard and should prove to be a great challenge to the top Kiwi riders.

On Sunday 24 October the 24th, the Senior riders will hit the circuit competing in the same Classes as the Senior Nationals format with the top twelve from each of the three classes being invited to the prestigious feature race. This race carries the overall title for the weekend and has with names on it like Daryl Hurley, Darryll King, Ben Townley and Josh Coppins, it’s the one that all the riders want to win.

Racing starts Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am both days with the Feature Race on Sunday set to start at 4pm.

Spectators can buy tickets at the gate over the weekend , Under five years free, 5-15yrs $5, Adults $10 per person.
