GYT-R is Yamaha's aftermarket accessories division and is well established with quality products, which offer riders customisation and added performance to further develop their standard motorcycle. With the Yamaha brand behind it, quality goes without saying.
When we mentioned to Yamaha that we were doing the Project Bike and asked for a few parts they came back more than happy to help out with the products we said we’d like to use and they added a whole lot more products in with it.
GYT-R Clutch Cover: Adding the ‘look’ factor to the bike, with the standard cover very susceptible to getting scratched due to its ribbed design, so the GYT-R cover gives a perfect solution. GYT-R also offers a full clutch system including the hub, basket and pressure plate.
GYT-R Clutch and Brake Levers: These levers are flip levers, which rotate outwards when you crash, just because there’s nothing worse than riding with a bent lever. Coloured black, the levers also look the part.
GYT-R Sprockets: Available in blue, magnesium, gold and silver for the back and only steel for the front. These sprockets are great quality and allow you to switch up the gearing ratios with relative ease. We used a 49 tooth on the rear initially which is standard but have just switched it up for a 51 tooth to give that added drive of the bottom, reducing the need to shift so much and eliminating the need to use first gear at all.
GYT-R Air Filters: Available in single and dual layer providing you that added protection for your engine and increasing airflow over the standard filter.
GYT-R Engine Plugs and Oil fill cap: Available in blue and black. These plugs are a good replacement over standard for added durability.
GYT-R Power Tuner: Offers you the ability to tune your EFI without a computer with true ease. The tuner breaks the set up into two areas; fuel and throttle which are both then further broken down into another 9 settings which cover between 4000 and 9000rpm which meet up with 1/8, 3/8 and ¾ throttle positions which allow you to adjust your power curve to meet your track conditions within minutes.
