Wednesday 20 April: Another double win for Jonathan Barragan in the Spanish Championship.
Once more a
perfect weekend for Barragan, as he
dominated the fourth round of the
Spanish Championship.
Winner of both races the KRT rider strongly leads
the series, as he won eight out of eight races.
While teammate Xavier Boog had no races this weekend, Jonathan
Barragan was in Albaida near Valencia, and enjoyed nice weather and hot
temperatures.
Fastest rider during the qualifying period, Jonathan did
the first part of the opening race behind Campano but passed him later
to win this heat easily.
The beginning of the second heat was
perfect for the spectators, who watch a great battle between Campano,
Lozano, Butron and Barragan; once more Jonathan was the fastest rider,
and he passed all his rivals to collect another trophy. With eight
consecutive wins he scores the perfect total of 200 points, and leads
Campano by more than fifty points before the next round scheduled in
three weeks time in Alhama de Murcia.
Jonathan Barragan: "The
track was very fast, and it was easy to make a mistake this weekend. We
had some nice racing with Campano, Lozano and Butron, they were fast
here but I beat them twice and I’m very happy. So far my results are
very good since the beginning of the season, and my goal is to continue
like this.”
