Taddy Blazusiak crowned World Indoor Enduro Champion

Red Bull KTM's extreme Endurist Taddy Blazusiak of Poland has been crowned World Indoor Enduro Champion for the second year in a row after the final round of the competition was canceled.

The title has now been confirmed by officials from the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM) who had to decide if the title could be awarded after the cancellations. 

Taddy, the man who has made a huge impression on the sport and who is also twice AMA Endurocross Champion and a  multiple winner of the infamous Hare Scramble on Austria's Iron Mountain (Erzberg), won the title by default after it was only possible to run two of the original five rounds scheduled for this current season. Scheduled rounds in Brazil, Vigo in Spain and now Lisbon in Portugal all failed to materialise apparently as a consequence of difficulties stemming from the international financial situation. This left only the rounds in Genoa (November 2010) and Barcelona (early February 2011) in the competition. 

Taddy suffered a crash in Genoa in November in Round One and made a masterly recovery to claim third on the night. Then in Barcelona he was in a class of his own in the Palau Sant Jordi stadium in front of thousands of enthusiastic fans, completely dominating the track to take all three races and surge ahead in the standings. 

He accrued 103 points from the two rounds to lead the standings with Joakim Ljunggren of Sweden (Husaberg) in second place with 86 points and Mika Ahola of Finland third with 73 points.
