Updated: Marvin Musquin's Bercy injury update.

29 Nov:  Marvin Musquin, Red Bull KTM's factory rider and reigning MX2 world champion on Friday evening was able to undergo an MRI scan for the right knee injury he incurred at the Paris Bercy Supercross last weekend. Doctors have now confirmed that he will need surgery to correct the ligament damage.
Marvin injured his knee on the Saturday of the three day SX event in the Paris Bercy Omnisports Arena when he put his right leg down hard during the race. Doctors said the treatment and therapy that he has had to date means he will be able to undergo the operation sooner than expected, namely on December 6, 2010. After the surgery the French rider will then undergo two weeks of rehabilitation and this will be followed by concentrated physiotherapy and work at home.

The Paris Bercy SX should have been a highlight for Red Bull KTM's factory rider Marvin Musquin and his many French fans but the reigning 2010 MX2 champion had to retire from the challenging event during Saturday's racing when he put his leg down hard in the heat of the battle and injured his right knee.

Marvin's doctors in France are currently assessing the injury and more will be known when the swelling goes down and he is able to undergo an MRI scan. This is scheduled for some time at the end of the week.

Meanwhile Marvin is recovering at home in France and more should be known about the extent of the injury after the scan.
